I’m so excited that I *finally* have this pattern finished and ready to share with the world!

PaperCut (11 of 14)

At the beginning of the year, I set this wildly ambitious goal that I would release one quilt pattern per month for all of 2017. It’s mid-April, and this is my first pattern ready for release, so clearly I’m nailing this goal thing. ?

Anyway, this quilt was a real learning process for me as far as pattern writing goes, and I’m hoping I did a good job of providing clear, concise instructions. I can’t wait for y’all to share some finished quilts! But in the meantime, you can just admire my finished quilt. Haha. I crack myself up!

Seriously, though. Check out all that quilty goodness! Would you believe me if I told you that my dear husband and I spent a solid week and a half picking stitches out of this quilt? Well, believe it. I’m kind of a perfectionist and I wasn’t satisfied with my longarming skills.

Note to self: get better at longarming.

Anyway, I left the decision to add embroidery (or not) up to the maker. The embroidery on this top was a “make-it-up-as-I-go” effort, and overall, I’m pretty happy with the results.

And as usual, I came up with a special label for this quilt, which I pieced into the backing.

And, I’m a super cool person, so I’ve got a free download of the flowers for y’all right here. Just add text as you please and trace onto background fabric and embroider to your liking. I used three strands of DMC floss for all my stitching. And if you’re not making the quilt, well then just consider this my sweet little embroidery gift to you!

To purchase this pattern as an instant PDF download, click the “Patterns” tab at the top of the page. I don’t currently have paper patterns available, but they’ll be coming soon!

Thanks for reading, and if you feel so inclined, leave me some love in the comments section!
